GUANGNAN DONG ARCHITECTURE & CULTURE PRESERVATION CENTER
With an increasing number of people moving out from the village for a better living quality, both the population remaining in Guangnan at all times and the agricultural production have considerably shrunk, while the culture and the architecture of the Dong people in the village are in need of immediate implementation of the new preservation philosophy.
Officially registered as a charity organization under the Civil Affairs Bureau of Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County, the Guangnan Dong Architecture & Culture Preservation Center primarily serves the following four functions:
1. A bridge connecting Guangnan Village to China and the world.
2. A home of research and learning for young students from throughout the world who are interested in the cultures of Chinese ethnic minorities.
3. An initiative to carry out targeted aid and relief programs for low-income households in Guangnan Village.
4. A consultant for the village government on matters related to attracting businesses and investments.
